Sifu Michael Lau
In 1987, he was invited by Lau's Family Association to become their Head Coach. In 1990, he was one of the two Head Coaches of the Yau Kung Moon Lion Dance Team representing the United States during the International Golden Lion Championship held in Malaysia. Sifu Lau is actively participating in many fund raising events for hospitals and senior homes throughout different communites in the United States. Sifu Michael Lau admired martial arts ever since he was a child. He began training in various style under his brother. After he moved to the United States, he and his colleague, Sifu Lok Sang Lee, began their training of Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu and Lion Dance under Sifu Wong Cheung and Sifu Tak Kei Van. In 1975, he and Sifu Lee began teaching and promoting Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu and Lion Dance in the San Francisco and Oakland areas.
